Unfortunately the first half of last week got a bit scuppered by my rather annoying illness that every now and again rears its ugly head. I was gutted to have to call in sick and miss the Wine Australia Blind Tasting night which sounded fantastic. But I still managed to gear up into the rest of the week.
Blog posts this week will include a write up of a top drawer lunch I had with my great mate Charlie. He’s a bit of a legend of a human being is Charlie, and spends his days working on international development projects in the charity sector. I caught up with him last week at the Bang Bang Canteen in London, a Vietnamese place I’d wanted to try for ages!
There’s going to be a couple of posts on the wedding this weekend of my sister and her fella, the infamous Italian foodie and scientist extraordinaire, Dr Paolo! They tied the knot in Camden and had the reception up at the York and Albany in Regent’s Park. Top do had by all!
There’s also going to be space to sneak in a quick write up of an event I’ve been asked to come along to in November. Set up by one of the most persistent men (in a good way!!) I’ve ever met – Timmer from Catalunya Wines – a few of us from round the world of blogging are off to Barcelona to chat about all things wine and social media. I’ll have to work on my accent!!
This week I’ve got a chat with the lads at Cherry Wines in London, a meeting with the team at my local gym for a YouTube series, and the Bodega des Frenchies for France vs. Romania.
Anyone else up to much?
