What else could we pick for the final New Wine This Week of the year? It had to be Champagne. This time of year you want that drink to celebrate being with your family and friends, you’re (a bit) happier to splash a bit of cash, and you want the luxury stuff to bring in the end of the year. Does it get more luxurious than Champagne?
Seeing as though I’ve got a few days run at this, I get to throw out a couple more blog posts on this weirdly misunderstood wine. Overall though, it’s going to be about the differences between Champagnes. Why buy one rather the one next to it on the shelf?
I’m going to stick with Sainsbury’s for this one. They’ve got award winning own brand Champagne, and plenty of offers on the big brands during the festive season. Most of the supermarkets do, but Sainsbury’s have been so great all year, the TTD range has been amazing all year, so I just thought sod it, I’ll stick to them for the end of the year!
My picks for this week are:
Sainsbury’s Blanc De Blancs Brut Champagne @ £20.00
Sainsbury’s Blanc De Noirs Brut Champagne @ £20.00
Moët Et Chandon Brut Impérial @ £25.00 (£10 off)
Lanson Black Label Brut @ £20.00 (£14 off)
Heidsieck Monopole Blue Top Brut @ £15.00 (£10 off)
Happy hunting
Cheers
