After winning back Ant’s trust following Non-Alcoholic Wine week by what looks to have been a fantastic week on the Primitivo, I feel safe to hand the reigns over to him for the next two weeks of picks. He’s starting with one that’s going to test my searching skills, the often-overlooked Pinot Blanc from Alsace in France.
It’s not the most popular grape in the world, but if you keep your eye out, you’ll find one eventually!
My picks for this week are:
Sainsbury’s
Calvet Alsace Pinot Blanc @ £6.75
Waitrose
Couldn’t Find One
Majestic Wine
Kuhlmann Platz Pinot Blanc @ £8.99
Spirited Wines
Couldn’t Find One
Vinmonopolet
Albert Mann Pinot Blanc Auxerrois @ NOK 167,50
Happy hunting
Cheers

Might give that a try – after my Alsatian cooking and baking spree over the last couple of months it might be time to move on from the Riesling and Gewurztraminer …
or just try this one to have something in reserve…
Isn’t this a traditionally a drier wine?
absolutely, much more along the lines of a chardonnay

Bruno Sorg Pinot Blanc is a thing of beauty!
Amazing how many soft spots we all have for different wines, so chuffed that we picked this as a hobby!!
