#NWTW Week 40: Rioja (Part Two)

Flags - Spain

So another week and another “we all love it” classic. Rioja from Northern Spain. We all know it’s a big red wine, which goes great with lots of different meat dishes, but what else can we have a look at?

Well that’s what’s going to happen this week. We’ll talk through the different grapes, the different growing areas, and what the bloody hell all this Crianza, Reserva, and Gran Reserva stuff is all about?

My picks this week are:

Sainsbury’s
Baron De La Vinas, Rioja Reserva @ £7.00 (30% off)

Aldi
Baron Amarillo, Rioja Reserva @ £5.99

Majestic Wine
Rioja Reserva Vendimia Seleccionada, 2008 Muriel @ £7.32 (33% off mix)

Spirited Wines
Medievo Rioja Crianza @ £12.11

Vinmonopolet
Edulis Reserva 2001 @ NOK 250.90

Happy shopping guys!

Cheers
