Basically I got in there quick before Any this week, and am heading off to Italy again for another wine that’s much maligned recently. I’m determined to spend this week getting people to drink it and love it for what it is. It’s Prosecco from North East Italy.
I’ll spend the week touching on how and where it’s made, why it’s such a different wine to champagne or cava, and when’s the right time to be cracking open these bottles. But first and foremost we need to get hold of a few bottles to taste.
I’ve subbed in Aldi for Morrisons this week. Mostly because over this year I’ve had more conversations with a brick wall than with anyone at Morrisons, but also I’ve heard great things about Aldi’s range in recent weeks. So we’ll give it a go.
