#NWTW Week 36: Sauvignon Blanc from Chile (Part Two)

flags - chile

Not quite sure how this has worked out, but for some reason it seems Ant has become the New World’s NWTW champion, and me the Old World. We haven’t planned that at all, I think it’s got more to do with me being a bit set in my ways and Ant dragging me kicking and screaming round the world!

Well it’s Ant’s second pick in s many weeks, and we’re off to Chile for the first time since Carmenere week. Sauvignon Blanc is usually thought of as a Loire thing, or a New Zealand thing, but Chile (as ever) do a fantastic range of well priced standards. So let’s have a try, eh?
My picks for the week are:

Majestic
Lady Sauvignon, Valle De Casablanca, 2014 @ £6.66

Morrisons
Casillero Del Diablo, Sauvignon Blanc @ £7.99

Sainsburys
TTD Sauvignon Blanc @ £8.00

Spirited Wines
Viu Manent ‘Secret’ Sauvignon Blanc 2012 @ £11.32

Vinmonopolet
Cono Sur Sauvignon Blanc Reserva 2013 @ NOK 120

Happy hunting

Cheers
