From the looks of the voting nearly half of you who voted will be pretty chuffed with this result. I’ll be honest, so am I. I’ve recently had the pleasure of being involved with a marketing push from the Rhone Wines board, and loved every minute of it. So bring on more of it!!!
Over the week we’ll have a chat about exactly where it’s from, how it’s made, and of course what we expect from it and what to eat with it. Standard formula by now.
For now, let’s have a look at some of the high street options:
Sainsbury’s – Taste The Difference Gigondas @ £13.00
Spirited Wines – Domaine De Longue Toque Gigondas, 2011 @ £20.88
Vinmonopolet – Chateau de Saint Cosme Gigondas, 2012 @ NOK 279
Waitrose – Domaine de Grapillon d’Or Gigondas, 2011 @ £19.99
Ok, granted, not many there for under a tenner, but I really hope that you’ll see why once you pop the corks at the weekend.
