Coming Up This Week On Please Bring Me My Wine

This Week's

Afternoon all. Hope the day’s treating you all well so far. I’ve been out and about trying to get back into my running routine despite the fact it’s knocking on 0 degrees outside at the minute. All the accounting I was talking about last week is soooo nearly there now that I can live like a normal human being again and come out of the cave that is my office.

This week I’ll be talking about the challenges of running a market stall selling wine when it’s freezing bloody cold outside. Not the greatest way of tasting the reds in particular!

I read this week that only 3% of the effort and finances of the wine industry goes into oenotourism (that’s wine tours and holidays and stuff like that). I’ll be having a bit a think about the importance of this topic in our otherwise Amazon.com world.

I ran great 20h33 wine dinner last week and had a few Americans in the pack. I’ll be having a chat about the look on their face when they found out most of what they were drinking was Merlot!

I also heading down to the NZ wine tasting in Victoria at the start of the week. After years of massive global success with their iconic Sauvignon Blancs it’s time to show the world what else is in the locker. What’s the New Zealand wine industry aiming for and what’s it achieving at the minute.

Should keep me out of trouble for a week, eh?

Cheers
